Fund for Belohnungsboxen und “Trösterli-Gschänkli” for children

On November 2, 2024, a new Children's Hospital opened in Zürich-Lengg, The hospital has a dedicated team of 2,300 employees who are committed to the well-being of 100,000 young patients each year - from their first day of life to the age of 18. The well-being of both the young patients and their families is a top priority.

To help children and their families feel comfortable despite illness or accidents, the hospital offers additional services and special touches to ease what can be a challenging experience.

In the waiting areas of the emergency department, the polyclinic, and the wards, there are toys and "Trösterli-Gschänkli" (comfort gifts) for young patients. These are very important for distraction during difficult situations. After treatment, children can choose a gift from the Reward boxes (Belohnungsboxen).

On Thursday, December 5, we will be preparing small packages for the Reward Boxes. To help make this happen, we kindly request your support. Your donations, which will be matched by the Z Zurich Foundation, will help us buy gifts and the necessary packaging materials.

Please note that for safety reasons, the hospital cannot accept certain toys that cannot be disinfected and are unsafe for immunocompromised children. Therefore, we are unable to collect gifts in kind.
