Fund for Belohnungsboxen und “Trösterli-Gschänkli” for children

On 2nd November 2024 a new Children hospital has opened up in Zürich-Lengg where 2,300 employees are committed to the well-being of 100,000 young patients every year from the first day of life to the age of 18 and where the well-being of the young patients as well as the family are a big concern.
In order for children and their families to feel comfortable despite illness or accident, they often need additional services or small special features that make everyday life more colorful.
In the waiting areas of the emergency and the polyclinic as well as in the wards there are toys and “Trösterli-Gschänkli” for the young patients, which are very important for distraction in often difficult situations.
From the Reward boxes (Belohnungsboxen), the children can choose a gift after a painful or unpleasant treatment. At the same time, they are also a good distraction during such treatments.
On Thursday 5th December we will prepare small packages as Reward gifts/Reward boxes. Unfortunately the hospital cannot accept stuffed animals as they cannot be disinfected and are dangerous for Immunocompromised children.
Bigger gifts are on request of the hospital to be provided unopened and unwrapped.
