Geschonken van £ 10.000,00Taking place on Sunday 2 July 2023, come and take part in the the Zurich Isle of Man Lighthouses Challenge, which is a friendly cycling sportive that takes in the Island’s most spectacular coastal scenery - all in aid of mental health charity Isle Listen.
You can do your own fund raising and ride in aid of the charity, donating your money on this portal means your money raised is doubled by the Z Zurich Foundation.
There are options to suit all abilities - ranging from leisure cyclists and eBikers, all the way up to seasoned professional racers!
FULL CIRCLE ROUTECovering over 100 miles in distance and over 2000 metres (6800 feet) in climbing, the Full Circle Route is a spectacular challenge. This route truly takes in the full majesty of the Island's most beautiful scenery.
It's got everything that makes the Isle of Man such a unique and wonderful place for cycling: Stunning coast, iconic ancient beauty, rugged terrain and challenging inclines; this clockwise route has it all.
HALF CIRCLE ROUTE
The Half Circle Route is full of steep inclines, keeping you challenged throughout! It follows the main course - starting in Castetown - before making its way to the first feed stop at St Johns.
You'll return to Castletown via Archallagan, Marine Drive and Derbyhaven. Explore 50 miles of the Island, where the balance between natural Manx scenic wonder and testing terrain is perfectly struck.
QUARTER CIRCLE ROUTE P/B DOTPERFORMANCE
Covering the shortest distance of the routes at 20 miles, the Quarter Circle Route takes a journey around the south of the Island starting and finishing in Port Erin. Expect an infectious atmosphere fitting for all the family.
A perfect day for children, leisure cyclists or novices ends with a medal and delicious food a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning!
The event will raise funds for Isle Listen the charity which provides is centred around early intervention and prevention; helping to avoid the unnecessary escalation of mental health problems.
They provide mental health support in schools through low-level one-to-one Listening Service and wide-reaching educational programme, mental health training to equip people with the skills and resources to support someone struggling with their mental health, and a counselling service employee benefit for employers that offers support and advice on issues that might be impacting employee wellbeing and performance.
Every pound raised will be match funded (up to a maximum of £50,000) by the Z Zurich Foundation which is a charitable foundation funded by various members of the Zurich Insurance Group.
